DUPONT [DFM], Jaques

During a flight over the Medditerranean in a Sunderland flying boat Dupont drove off enemy fighters as a gunner. The aircraft made an emergency landing into the sea. The crew and passengers in dinghies made it to allied lines taking with them over 100 Italian prisoners. Dupont was awarded the DFM for his brilliant defence of his aircraft and passengers.
