Plane was a de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito A52-88 of 5 OTU RAAF which spun during a climbing turn during a bombing practice at Cemetery Range N.S.W and crashed into the sea. An underwater search could not locate the wreckage. The two occupants were W/Off Neville William Duffield [pilot] and F/Sgt Brian Collins [Nav.] both killed.
