SULLIVAN [GM], Maurice Anthony

Citation for gallantry in saving crew members from an aircraft which crashed and burst into flames. Awarded the George medal. Sgt Sullivan resumed flying but sadly his Stirling N3680 was shot down over the target Brest and crashed into the sea over the French Coast. 7 crew were lost. FL/LT Laurence Gerard Sullivan DFM RAAF, a brother, was also killed on the 10th January 1945..
