Plane was a Lockheed Ventura AE759 of the No. 21 Sqd. being flown from RAF Methwold in Norfolk to nearby RAF Feltwell for servicing. On the way back to Methwold the plane suddenly dived into the ground and exploded on impact with the loss of the six crew onboard.
