Plane was a Lockheed Hudson A16-169 and was one of six Hudsons that took off from Millingimbi Airfield on a low level bombing mission against Timoeka Airfield. After dropping their bombs the Hudsons made low level strafing runs. A16-169 was shot down by anti-aircrft fire and crashed. There were no survivors.
