BEALE, Herbert Eldon

Plane was a Vickers Wellington HX690 of the 179 RAF Sqd. which took off from Gibraltar on an anti-submarine patrol over the Mediterranean Sea. There was no communication from the Wellington after take off. The six crew presumably died at sea. The remains of P/Off Beale were the only ones to wash ashore and be buried at the Bone Military Cemetery, Algeria.
