LEWIS, Vivian Roy

Sgt Lewis survived at sea after the troop ship he was on was torpedoed. Floating at sea in a life boat for over 11 days until rescued. He saw active service as an air gunner with the 201st RAF Sqd. flying in Short Sunderland 11 Flying Boats from Castle Archdale in Northern Ireland. His plane was shot down over the Atlantic Ocean and his body was never found.
