McGRATH, Thomas William Newport

Plane was an Avro Lancaster JA707 which crash landed at Sibret, Luxemboug. The aircraft had sustained significant damage when attacked by a German night -fighter during its return journey from a raid on Nuremburg. Five of the seven man crew survived, of whom three evaded capture. F/Sgt McGrath was killed.
