DEED, Cyril Keith

Previous Service 26th Machine Gun Regmt. Course 41 Air Gunners School Sale VIC. Plane was a Lancaster bomber PB255 from RAAF 460 Sqd. which crashed and exploded on impact at Oostelbeers, Holland. It is believed the plane was intercepted by German night fighters and was badly damaged. On turning back to England the plane exploded and crashed into the woods. The eleven crew were lost. Flt/Sgt Deed was the Mid Upper Gunner.
