Plane was a Lockheed Hudson Mk 11 A16-69 which took off from Laha, Ambon to attack Tobi Island midway between Ambon and Palau Islands. This island was known to be occupied by the Japanese. The aircraft crashed into the Banda Sea off Ambon. Four crew were killed.
