ROLLINS, James Leslie

POW Vinchy French - Captured after their ship was sunk around Cape of Good Hope repatriated to England later killed 8/4/1943 with 49 Sqn over Germany. Plane was a Lancaster ED590 EA-L was lost due to heavy flak and crashed near Hubbelrath in Germany. All 7 crew were killed. Rollins had previously been onboard the MV Memnon a ship torpedoed by a German U-boat. Rollins survived at sea to be later captured. He was released and made it back to the U.K.
