NALLEN, Charles Patrick

Previous service 10th Garrison Battn. Nallen's last posting was with the Pathfinders in 635 Squadron, flying Lancasters. He was killed when Lancaster F2-D crashed during take-off just outside the airfield killing all on board. The aircraft was detailed to attack Calais as part of preparations for D-Day. There were eight other aircraft from RAF Downham Market involved in the operation.
