He was a champion rower from South Australia and the secretary of the Port Adelaide Rowing Club before he enlisted in the RAAF. Information supplied by Sean Batson. Plane was a Lancaster LL882 of the 463 Sqd. RAAF which was shot down near Ypres on a night mission to Lille, France. All the crew were killed.
